wheres the cheese!

strange how things flow. sometimes it al just comes gushing and pucking out of youwhen you least expect it & sometimes no matter what you do, nothing, not a drop. it even gets to a point where you question if the things you managed in the past are real. strange. strange and unfathomable. but fear not, for i am in the perfect gushing puckey mood. who knows why? maybe its the cheese i ate earlier, but that gives you wierd dreams not creative impulse, right? imagine that though…..the creative block curing, genius stimulating, inspiration maker that all scholars and artists have searched for since time began is actually cheese. it’s so crazed i might actually be on to something. the theory shall be rigorously tested. by myself of course. next time the dreaded block appears i shall eagerly grab for the nearest lump of cheddar, wolf it down and study the effects. but now back to the point, this is just a quick note to let you all know that the good barron has contracted the fever yet again which means that hopefully some new sounds shall grace your ears before long. currently she is holed up in a kind of cave somewhere on the english coast, grappling with a multitude of instruments, some musical others not. i patiently await her return and hope you tune in for the results.

I’ve just got around to uploading a couple of tracks to the site, you can have a listen to my new music here. Hope you like them… let me know what you think.

So, on Wednesday the 10th December myself and my roadies (my mum and dad!) rolled up at the Bispham Conservative Club and began preparing for the final of Bisphams Got Talent. There were 4 contestants all of whom had won their heat and semi final, Lisa Winwood, Jodie Hamblet and Just Alf, needless to say I was pretty nervous. The night was fun in a traditional club kind of way, bingo and raffles, I love that.  I was to appear last and I sang 5 songs: Fell In Love with A Boy, Pearl’s  A Singer, Nobody Does It Better, What’s Up and Simply The Best. By the end of the set I was breathing hard and really feeling the heat from the stage lights but luckily I had done enough to win. I was totally bowled over, I really didn’t think I’d have much of a chance but I guess my judgement must have been a bit off!

All in all a great night, thanks to all who came and all who supported…long live Bispham Rock City!
